For most of you, yesterday you took the SAT. If you did not, you will take it before you leave high school. What is your desired SAT score? Identify your top three colleges and explain why each school appeals to you.

 Prompt Response: My target SAT score was at least 1100. Unfortunately, I have a slight feeling that I didn’t quite reach that mark this time. The SAT was a great practice test that gave me a good idea of what to expect when I take it again. The three top colleges that stand out to me are the Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Georgia, and Kennesaw State University. What makes these colleges particularly appealing to me is their renowned engineering, computer science, and IT programs. As an aspiring mechanical engineer, I find these programs incredibly intriguing.

Summary: In today's class, we read and completed a short assignment for Chapter 7 of the “Into the Wild" novel.

Reflection: Reflecting on my journey since taking the SAT, I’ve discovered an overwhelming sense of excitement for the future. Although I haven’t yet received my scores, I’m already aware of the specific topics that require my attention. I’m committed to diligently studying these subjects to achieve my dream of attending my desired college.

  Prompt Response:    The most creative thing I've ever made was a pipe cleaner stick man action figure. Growing up, I loved action figures. And there was one particular action figure that I saw online that I greatly desired. It was a metallic blue Mega man action figure with multiple accessories and magnetic feet. However, due to how pricey it was, my parents weren't able to get it for me. Due to this, I took it upon myself to make my own action figure.      Summary: Today in class, we finished writing our own origin myth story and discussed making a poster for it. Reflection: Making something from nothing is what I strive to do; like with that pipe cleaner stick man action figure I made. It represents my creativity and imagination in one small package.

  Prompt Response:  When I was a sophomore in high school, my marketing principles teacher taught me a very a profound lesson: “People treat you the way they perceive you.” This principle resonates deeply with my daily life. I maintain professionalism at school, taking the time to think before speaking and ensuring my words are measured and precise to avoid any miscommunication. As a result, many students and teachers hold me in high regard, valuing me as a peer and a student. This is why I consistently strive to present myself in a professional light. Summary: Today in class, we started working on our argumentative essay with the theme of morality. Reflection: Reflecting on this, I will always make sure that no matter what no one views me as a failure or an incompetent person. I believe that every human should be controlled and measured when it comes to their speech.
