 Prompt Response: Growing up, my parents strictly forbade me from opening the door to any strangers. While this is a common rule in households, my parents took extra precautions to ensure my and their safety. Although some children disobeyed their parents and opened the door to strangers anyway, I never considered doing such a thing. In conclusion, it’s important to respect the rules set by adults, even if we don’t fully understand them at the time.

Summary: In today's class, we started and continued a novel called The Rock Pile by James Baldwin.

Reflection: Reflecting on this, there are many rules set in place for us by adults. It is important that we follow and respect those rules as they are in place to help us.

  Prompt Response:    The most creative thing I've ever made was a pipe cleaner stick man action figure. Growing up, I loved action figures. And there was one particular action figure that I saw online that I greatly desired. It was a metallic blue Mega man action figure with multiple accessories and magnetic feet. However, due to how pricey it was, my parents weren't able to get it for me. Due to this, I took it upon myself to make my own action figure.      Summary: Today in class, we finished writing our own origin myth story and discussed making a poster for it. Reflection: Making something from nothing is what I strive to do; like with that pipe cleaner stick man action figure I made. It represents my creativity and imagination in one small package.

  Prompt Response:  When I was a sophomore in high school, my marketing principles teacher taught me a very a profound lesson: “People treat you the way they perceive you.” This principle resonates deeply with my daily life. I maintain professionalism at school, taking the time to think before speaking and ensuring my words are measured and precise to avoid any miscommunication. As a result, many students and teachers hold me in high regard, valuing me as a peer and a student. This is why I consistently strive to present myself in a professional light.
