Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt Response: During a group project, we collectively voted on a specific idea that we would develop for our project. The ideas were creative, achievable, and could be completed within a reasonable timeframe. We all voted on a single person’s idea to develop, which was complex yet feasible. Unfortunately, during a three-day period, we could only rely on this person to provide us with information about their side of the development process. This constant feeling of having to depend on someone else for information or assistance is quite unfortunate, as I am someone who prefers to work independently and ensure that I have all the necessary information to complete a task.

Summary: In today’s class, we continued an assignment where we analyzed the president’s speech for rhetorical devices.

Reflection: Reflecting on this, we sometimes rely on others, but it’s not something that should be normalized. We should all be able to work independently without having to rely on others, especially when it comes to group projects.
