Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?
Prompt Response: Nearly the entire winter break was dedicated to self-care, allowing me to unwind and recharge. However, one significant challenge that disrupted my peace of mind was the creation of a 3-D model that could either be shared with others or sold for profit. On Wednesday of the second week of winter break, I finally decided to embark on this project. Engineers, especially younger ones, often face the common dilemma of having a clear idea of what to create but lacking the necessary skills to bring it to life. This predicament, coupled with my limited 3-D modeling experience, left me feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to proceed. Consequently, I made the difficult decision to take a break from personal 3-D modeling projects. While this decision has left me feeling disappointed, I am grateful that it wasn’t a school project.
Summary: In today's lesson, we went over two more rhetorical devices and did small practice assignments for each one.
Reflection: Reflecting on this, one of the four major goals I’ve set for myself was eliminating procrastination. Consequently, I’ve decided to stop taking breaks from something so crucial.
