 Prompt Response: The most memorable gift I ever received was my first Windows laptop. On my seventh birthday, I was given an HP Windows laptop that ran Windows 10 and had a built-in disc reader. Although the laptop was quite large due to the inclusion of the disc reader, I absolutely loved it. I would spend countless hours playing Roblox, watching YouTube, and Netflix on that laptop. Even before I got my first smartphone, that laptop was my first introduction to the world of technology.

Summary: Today in class, we continued reviewing over the basics of how to create an argumentative essay.

Reflection: In short, that laptop was the best gift I ever received. And it was my first wheel introduction into the world of technology, which also led to my passion for engineering.

  Prompt Response:   My mother, father, and I were driving through Atlanta when we stopped at a red light at an intersection. A homeless man was standing in the middle of the road, but not close enough to the cars to be hit. He approached every car that was near him with his sign in hand, begging for something, though I can’t recall what it was. He soon reached our vehicle and asked my father for something. My father immediately shooed away the man as if he were a stray dog, and the man went on his way. Summary: In today's class, we started a story titled: " The Life You Save May Be Your Own" by Flannery O'Connor. Reflection: Reflecting on that time, I did feel sorry for the homeless man. However, it’s important to remember that everything will eventually return to its rightful place.

While this is a common rule in households, my parents took extra precautions to ensure my and their safety. Although some children disobeyed their parents and opened the door to strangers anyway, I never considered doing such a thing. In conclusion, it’s important to respect the rules set by adults, even if we don’t fully understand them at the time. Summary: In today's class, we started and continued a novel called The Rock Pile by James Baldwin. Reflection: Reflecting on this, there are many rules set in place for us by adults. It is important that we follow and respect those rules as they are in place to help us.
