Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?
Prompt Response: I was younger when I had a picnic with my parents in the city of Atlanta. I don’t recall many details about the picnic, but I do remember the lush green of the trees and grass surrounding us. There was a certain peacefulness to the setting that I admired and could never forget. However, I was allergic to pollen, so I was constantly sneezing. My parents had to frantically get tissues because of how much I was sneezing. Despite that, the experience was very memorable because of the beauty of the park.
Summary: Today in class, we started our Robert Frost One pager.
Reflection: In short this memory showed me that even imperfect moments can hold lasting beauty. Despite my allergies, I learned to appreciate the peace and joy found in simple experiences with family.
