After viewing your classmates’ digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on your work, what new ideas or perspectives did you gain about your poster? Reflect on how the feedback influenced the way you think about your creative choices and describe what you learned about the creative process while designing and presenting your poster.

Prompt Response:  After reviewing the feedback from my classmates’ digital posters, I’ve realized that I need to express myself more when designing and personalizing things. While I think my digital poster turned out great, I can improve it by raising the bar. All the positive comments I received were very encouraging and promising. If there’s another time I have an assignment like this, I’ll definitely incorporate more of my minimalist yet captivating design style into my work. Making it visually pleasing and informative and the best way possible. Summary: In today's class, we presented our digital posters. Reflection: Reflecting on this, I thoroughly enjoyed creating this digital poster. Although I faced some challenges in collecting and presenting the information effectively, I can confidently assert that it turned out to be a resounding success.

Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).

Prompt Response:  As mentioned in a previous prompt, my greatest challenge when creating figurative language was overthinking my ideas. I strive to give my best when I work on my writing because, as my parents have advised me, “you do a ride the first time so you don’t have to do it again.” This saying has stayed with me forever. However, to truly overcome this challenge, I had to take a step back and relax. I realized that sometimes I need to slow down and take things one step at a time. Summary: In today's class, we continued our focus on figurative language. Reflection: Reflecting on this, I often find myself coming across as a perfectionist. While it may be challenging for me to change this habit, I must do so for the sake of improving my writing skills.

Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt Response:  During the process of writing my figurative language, I’ve come to realize that I often tend to overthink my answers. While I strive for perfection and accuracy, I frequently opt for more abstract approaches rather than the straightforward ones. Unfortunately, this tendency leads to longer completion times for assignments and prompts. However, after overcoming this challenge of overthinking, I’ve discovered a newfound sense of creativity within myself. In a way, my overthinking has become both a blessing and a curse. Summary: In today's class, we continue working on personal figurative language. Reflection: Reflecting on this, my overthinking stems from my desire to produce the best possible work. While that’s commendable, I’ve come to realize that I must constantly work on reducing my overthinking to achieve perfection.

Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly

Prompt Response:  During my winter break, I spent some well-needed time with my family. While we didn't do much, every day of my winter break was filled with a memorable experience. For instance, on Friday of my winter break, I went to a luxurious Italian restaurant, and I tried for the very first time pasta stuffed with shrimp. Well, that was the highlight of the meal; all of their dishes were immaculate. In the end, I quite enjoyed my winter break. Summary: In today's class, we started a new assignment working on figurative language. Reflection: Reflecting on this, deep down, I wanted to do more for my winter break. But despite that want, I am happy with what I have received, and I am very grateful.

If you had to describe how you show love using only three objects (for example: a playlist, a hoodie, a late-night snack, a long text message, etc.), what would you choose and why? Explain what each object represents and how it connects to your personality.

Prompt Response:  I would choose a handwritten note, a carefully prepared meal, and a late-night check-in text. A handwritten note demonstrates thoughtfulness because I prefer to take my time explaining my feelings rather than being overly emotional. A carefully made meal signifies care and planning, as I naturally think ahead and prefer practical solutions to problems. Lastly, a late-night check-in text represents loyalty, as even when I appear calm or serious, I ensure that the people I care about are okay. These objects illustrate that I express love quietly, consistently, and through actions rather than through dramatic words. Summary: In today's class, we completed a Valentine's Day assignment to give to our loved ones. Reflection: Reflecting on this, love doesn’t always have to be loud or dramatic to be meaningful. Sometimes with quiet consistency and thoughtful actions, we can reveal a profound and steadfast kind of care towards the people we love.

What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

Prompt Response:  The most challenging part of working in a group is the amount of work ethic each student puts into the objective. For example, I and three other students are creating a risk-mounted object that utilizes ball bearings, springs, rubber bands, and magnets. This project has taken our group and many others over two weeks. Despite this project being difficult to develop, our team has found ourselves close to finalizing this project. However, among our group lies one student that unfortunately will not put in the same amount of work ethic or research as everyone else. While they will ask questions and try to stay engaged, they ultimately care about the grade rather than the process of obtaining that grade for this project.  Summary: In today's class, we completed an assignment online to help us create structure of rhetorical analysis essay.
